Process & Workflow
What is your retouching process like?
My retouching process is highly detailed and personalized to each client’s needs. I begin by assessing the image and understanding your desired outcome, then if you have RAW files I convert them in Capture One, and after I apply non-destructive editing techniques with Adobe Photoshop to enhance the photo without losing its original essence. My focus is on achieving a polished, high-quality result while maintaining a natural look.
Do you work with RAW files or just JPEGs?
I work with both RAW and JPEG files, but I recommend RAW for the highest level of quality and flexibility in post-processing. RAW files allow for greater detail and more precise adjustments, resulting in superior final images.
Can I see examples of your before-and-after work?
Absolutely! I have a portfolio available with before-and-after examples of my work across various categories like portraits, beauty, fashion, and product photography. Feel free to request specific examples based on your needs and I’ll send you a PDF version to your email.
How do I place an order?
Placing an order is simple and straightforward! Here’s how it works:
Contact Me: You can reach out via my website’s contact form, email, or any platform where I offer my services. Let me know what type of images you need to be retouched and provide any specific requirements or preferences.
Discuss Details: We’ll discuss the scope of your project, including the number of images, the type of retouching you need (e.g., light, beauty, or high-end retouching), and any deadlines you have. If you’re unsure, I can offer suggestions based on your images.
Send Your Images: After we finalize the details, you’ll upload your images through a secure file-sharing service like Dropbox, Google Drive, or WeTransfer.
Review and Confirm: I’ll review the images and confirm the price and timeline. Once everything is agreed upon, you’ll make the payment, and I’ll start working on your project.
Receive and Revise: Once the work is done, I’ll deliver the retouched images. You can review them, and if any revisions are needed, I’ll be happy to make adjustments to ensure you’re fully satisfied.
Experience & Expertise
How many years of experience do you have in retouching?
I have over 7 years of professional retouching experience, working with a diverse range of clients from individuals to large brands. My expertise spans across portraits, beauty shots, product photography, and commercial retouching.
Can you handle high-end retouching for commercial projects?
Definitely. I specialize in high-end retouching for commercial projects and have experience working with brands that require precision, consistency, and the highest quality output for their campaigns.
What sets you apart from other retouchers?
My commitment to understanding my clients’ needs and delivering results that not only meet but surpass expectations sets me apart. I focus on creating a personalized experience for each client and use a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and attention to detail to ensure that every image is unique and of the highest quality.
Do you take retouching personal photos as seriously as you do big projects?
Absolutely! Whether it’s a personal photo or a large commercial project, I approach every retouching job with the same level of dedication and attention to detail. Personal photos often carry sentimental value, and I understand how important it is to preserve their authenticity while enhancing them. My goal is to deliver high-quality, polished results regardless of the scale of the project, so you can trust that your personal images will receive the same care and professionalism as my work for big brands.
How do you handle feedback and revisions during the retouching process?
I see feedback as a crucial part of the process and always welcome client input. My approach is to provide an initial draft for review, after which I adjust the work based on the client’s comments. I’m flexible with revisions and aim to ensure that the final result aligns with the client’s vision.
Customization & Specific Requirements
Can you customize the level of retouching?
Absolutely! I offer different levels of retouching, from light adjustments that maintain a very natural look to more intensive retouching for editorial or commercial images. We can discuss your specific needs and customize the work accordingly.
Are you able to match specific retouching styles?
Yes, I can match a variety of retouching styles, whether it’s a clean, minimalist look, a glossy magazine-ready finish, or a highly artistic editorial style. If you have references or a specific aesthetic in mind, I’m happy to follow that.
Do you allow revisions, and how many?
Yes, I typically offer a set number of revisions (usually 2 rounds) included in the project price to ensure you’re completely satisfied. If further adjustments are needed, we can discuss additional revisions as well (additional fees are charged for additional revisions, but I always discuss them with you before making adjustments). Please note that the edits must not contradict the primary requirements for retouching, in case you want to completely redo the work – you will need to pay the full price as for a new photo, but of course we discuss everything with you first.
Delivery & Deadlines
What is your usual turnaround time?
y standard turnaround time depends on the scope of the project, but for most individual images, it’s around 2-5 business days. Larger projects or more complex retouching might take a bit longer, but I always communicate clear timelines upfront.
Can you accommodate urgent or rush orders?
Yes, I can accommodate rush orders if needed. There may be a small additional fee depending on the urgency, but I’ll always work to meet your deadlines without compromising quality.
How will the final images be delivered?
I deliver final images in the file format of your choice, usually JPEG, TIFF, or PSD, via a secure cloud service like Dropbox or WeTransfer. You’ll receive high-resolution files ready for print or digital use via WeTransfer, Dropbox, or Google Drive.
Pricing & Payment
How do you structure your pricing?
My pricing is typically based on the number of images and the complexity of the retouching required. I offer package deals for larger projects, and we can discuss a custom price based on your specific needs and budget. For the Advertising & Editorial I charge per hour as usually such projects are very multifaceted and require more complex technical solutions in retouching.
What factors can influence the price of a project?
Factors like the level of detail required, the number of images, deadlines, and any additional services like advanced compositing or color grading can affect the overall price. I’m transparent about costs upfront, so there are no surprises.
Are there any additional costs for revisions or extra services?
The first 1–2 rounds of revisions are usually included in the initial price. If more revisions are needed or if you request extra services beyond the agreed scope, we can discuss additional fees based on the time and work involved.
File Management & Privacy
How do you handle confidentiality for high-profile projects?
I take client confidentiality very seriously, especially for high-profile projects. I’m happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) if required, and I ensure all files are securely stored and handled. All images are placed in my portfolio with the permission of the owner, I never show or publish your photos on any resources or social media without your permission.
Do you store or delete client images after completion?
I typically store completed projects for a short period (about 30 days) in case you need revisions or additional files. After that, images can be permanently deleted at your request.
Can I keep ownership of the images after retouching?
Yes, you retain full ownership of your images. I simply provide the service of enhancing them, but all rights to the original and retouched images remain with you.
